Hawaii Taro Leaves & Stems
Providing Wholesale Luau Leaf
Hawaii Basil Herbs Farm has been growing taro leaves since 2012. We started with growing a small acreage of luau leaf just for our own daily consumption. Now we grow more than 10 acres due to high demand from buyers all over the United States and Canada.
Hawaii taro leaf is also called luau leaf, this specialty herb grows all year round in either dry or wetland in Hawaii. Luau leaves are used to make a popular Hawaiian food called lau lau where it is used to wrap fish, beef or pork and steamed for a few hours.
Taro Stem also called Bac Ha; it is commonly used to make soup. Such as pho noodle soup, the taro stem is one of the most common ingredients added to make the soup. Each stem is about 20-22 inches long.
